NJI Media Heads to AU’s Social Learning Summit

NJI Media was spotted this past Saturday on American University’s campus with saltwater taffy, notebooks, and NJI pens in hand. Doing what? Attending the 2013 Social Learning Summit. NJI sponsored the event this past weekend, and I, along with and the rest of the crew, had a great time attending panels, networking, and conversing on the state of social media with students and professionals alike.

The Social Learning Summit, for those who don’t know, has been organized by the American University Social Media Club since 2011. Local bloggers, Twitter gurus, and other social media professionals

What We Learned at SXSW Interactive

NJI Media attended SXSW Interactive. We learned that social media is alive and well, and we also picked up on some trend lines. You’ll find our three core takeaways from the conference below. As a bonus, we listed our favorite places to eat, drink, and listen to music. We invite your comments, reactions, and predictions.

What We Learned at NY Tech Meetup

There are a few things New York does right: moving people efficiently through the city, baking pizza, and organizing technology events. This being a tech event, you can see what went down here courtesy of MLBAM and you can follow along on Twitter @NYTM.

We heard from a wide range of companies—from real time data crunching with MotarData to an OkCupid

NJI’s Day at DC Week

Last week Thursday I was lucky enough to represent NJI Media at Digital Capital Week’s core conference with the rest of our team. NJI sponsored the event and the team had a great time hanging out with our office mascot, the NJI Panda, and talking with folks from the district’s digital scene. I think everyone else at the conference had fun meeting our panda and grabbing a few of our notebooks to jot down what they learned in the sessions throughout the day. If you got your picture with the panda, you can see it in our Read More »
